What they found

Seer Interactive’s tracking put click-through on AI Overview citation links at 1.3% in December 2025, rising to 2.4% by February 2026. They also reported that visitors arriving through citations converted better than average, which fits the theory that someone who reads a summary and still clicks has stronger intent.

How much weight to give it

Moderate, leaning cautious. The direction is interesting and few others are tracking this consistently. The absolute numbers stay small, so an 85% relative rise is a move from very little to slightly more.

What it doesn’t prove

This is a client dataset with limited disclosure about composition, and 2 measurements 2 months apart is a thin basis for a trend. Whether the recovery holds through 2026 is the thing to watch, and we’ll update this entry rather than leave a stale number sitting here.
